Description:
This is our highest standard level 2 mask meeting the international ASTM gold standard. This standard has more strict requirements than even the Australian standard.

Level 2 Surgimask is suitable for the practitioner and clinician during surgical procedures and for the dental and allied health professional who may have exposure to body and body fluids as well as risk of potential infection.

In 2020 the Surgimask is suitable for the public to wear to reduce the risk of potential infection and fluid contact with those in close proximity.

STANDARDS

The Strapit Surgimask is the highest quality Level 2 mask meeting all world standards including:

Australia: AS 4381:2015

Europe: EN14683

USA: ASTMF2100

FLUID RESISTANT FEATURES

Surgimask has a fluid resistance of 120mmHg/16.0kPa consistent with level 2 barrier protection.

Fluid and Splash Resistance is measured by Nelson Laboratories. This is in accordance with ASTM F1862-98 & ASTM F1862-00a standard testing methods for resistance of surgical face masks to penetration of synthetic blood at 16.0kPa pressures.

Bacterial Filtration Efficiency (BFE)

Surgimask provides the user with a Bacterial Filtration Efficiency of greater than 99% for media that is greater than 3 microns. This provides the user with superior protection from a potential infection.

Particulate Filtration Efficiency (PFE)
The PFE measures filtration of particles 0.1micron in size which relates to fine dust and viral filtration. The mask meets a PFE of ≥ 98% as per the ASTMF2100 standard
Breathability
With this mask being used now by the general public as well as clinicians, the surgimask provides excellent breathability with a low delta P (<1.8) ensuring maximum comfort and coolness when in use. Allows extended use of the mask.

Delta P is also conducted by Nelson Laboratories and is a comfort measure of the mask testing breathability of the mask for the user. The lower the P level the more comfort the mask in while in use. <1.8 is a low level ensuring maximum comfort.
